Copyright / DMCA Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-14
This policy is substantive but still pending final review by legal counsel and registration of our Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office before launch.
MathPrepAI respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to valid notices of copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), as well as Thai copyright and computer-crime law.
1. User-Generated Content
Parts of the Service let users publish or share templates and images (e.g. the public gallery and teacher storefronts). We do not pre-screen user uploads, but we act expeditiously to remove content upon a valid notice.
2. Filing a Takedown Notice
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our Designated Agent (see Section 5) that includes all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material, with the URL or enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone, and email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
⚠️ Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may subject you to liability for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under DMCA §512(f).
3. Removal & User Notice
Upon a valid notice, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted it.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice to our Designated Agent stating: your signature; identification of the removed material and its original location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your consent to the relevant court's jurisdiction. If the complainant does not file suit within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.
5. Designated Agent
Send all notices and counter-notices to: copyright@mathprepai.com
(The registered Designated Agent’s mailing address will be published here before launch.)
6. Repeat-Infringer Policy
We will suspend or terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
7. Other Objectionable Content
To report non-copyright objectionable content, use the “Report” button on the template, or email abuse@mathprepai.com. See our acceptable-use rules in the Terms of Service.
